1st Annual Southern Maryland Youth Flag Football Camp Set for July
June 19th, 2009 The Southern Maryland Youth Flag Football League, the NFL-sponsored youth football league that has been in existence for seven seasons, is holding a summer camp session for the first time ever from July 20th – July 24th |
The SMYFFL camp features both one-on-one training from coaches and camp counselors and team exercises, including a tournament at the end of the week. It is focused on teaching all players (ages 6-12) every skill position, including quarterback, running back, receiver, and defensive back. The play will be subject to NFL Flag rules, so blocking and tackling will not be covered. Players will also be introduced to strength and conditioning techniques. It’s a chance to gain a foundation in football or hone skills, so it’s a worthwhile opportunity for anyone interested in the game. |
